Truly awesome skim board

Thinking about tinkering around with building a new strapless toy? Have some feedback about construction, materials, rocker line? Post it here.

Truly awesome skim board

Postby tungsten » Tue Aug 16, 2011 4:21 am

A very technical, but sincerely awesome way to build a skim board. Found this pearl on kiteforum, user stefmoris made his ride of CNC cut and interlinked cardboard, and laminated it. What a board. Looks like it comes directly out of the MOMA. But take a look for yourself:

WHOA! Something you might see at MOMA is pretty accurate. Impressive to say the least. More importantly though, I wonder how it rides, and the construction feels. That is when you know it is a real work of art. :)

Hope it rides well, and I could imagine it's a bit on the stiff side :D But even if it was a total dog (which sometimes happens), it's a true piece of art.
