Build - Ply wood skim with XPS core

Thanks! Give it a try, it's really not that difficult. The board is such a nice ride. Just take any proven shape from the web for a start and stick with lonnie's measurements.

Addenda: the fin you see in the pics was way too big. It was more surf board than skim, really too stable. I cut it down to half of the hight (like 1.75"), and it's a lot looser now, really nice, just a little support in the chop, but breaks free effortlessly. On flat days I ride the board without it.
