strapless on your twintip

Postby sflinux » Sat Oct 18, 2008 12:47 pm

First off, Lonny this forum is a great idea.
Last week, I noticed a guy was riding a slingshot glide in light winds. Now that's not a big deal. But the detail is the guy was riding with no fins, no pads, and no straps. The board didn't even have wax, just some stock decals that ran in strips to give a little traction.
I've made a flat plywood wakeskate and someone had the comment that it's not a wakeskate because it doesn't have rocker, that it was just a twintip without straps.
Anyone ripping on twintips without straps?
And fyi, Liquid Force is releasing a kiteskate:

It my pleasure, and honestly it would be nothing without great users, like yourself, that make it home for our strapless nuttiness. :)

Great information on the Kiteskate. Hopefully in the next year or so LTS will grow to the point where we can get manufacturers posting all their new strapless toys here. It looks like the kite companies are definitely starting to take notice of our small but growing population.

I personally, have not ridden too much on TTs without straps, but I am pretty sure some other people might have some feedback for ya...stay tuned...
