Mitu is just amazing in that video- he seems to be able to do what ever he wants with a surfboard. Very fluid. Very inspiring.

Last year I saw Mitu (Jan Marcos, Eric Girard- hometown boy!)in the KPWT wave competition in Shippigan (Petite Lameque), New Bruinswick, Canada. The wind blew 30-35knots day and night for 4 days straight. Mitu was the only competitor to go out strapless in the wind driven mushy waves. I tried shooting some video, but the tripod kept getting blown over by the wind. Could not take my hands off it. In the end, I just watched the competition and enjoyed watching the pros make 30/35kts. direct onshore wave riding look easy with 5m- 7m kites.

Mitu and Jan went head to head, and at the end of their heat decided to put on a show. Mitu hit a 25/30 ft. jump, placed the board between his legs in a sitting position, and stuck the landing. The crowd went wild!

Being hooked on strapless riding ever since.
