North Freestylefish 5"

Are you killing it on your surfboard? Have a question about riding styles or a trick? What surfboards work, what doesn't. This is the place to talk about your surfboard gear.

Hi!! I want some words about that board..Is it good to start strappless?
I don´t know where to search here in Spain....
Thanks..
I´m 180 cm and 78 kgs. and ride in choppy and small waves..
I have others options: Nobile Skim, or a Kiteloose surf board http://www.loose.it/loose08/KITELOOSE%20%2708%20PHOTO/PRODUCTS/BOARD/Soul/index.html
My only strappless experience was one time doing wake whit a surfboard...

Hey Bruno,

Welcome to LTS!

I also live in Spain, and looking for a strappless life!!
Congratulations for the page!!

Another strapless ripper from Spain! Awesome. I can tell you that your English is much better than Spanish.

A skimboard and a surfboard are very differnt rides. If you are only going to get one strapless toy to start I would think about what appeals to you more. Both are super fun, but different. There are some comments on the North Board here:

Also I think K3rM1t has one and he could provide some feed back as well...

As far as the Nobile Skimboard goes I am not a huge fan of it. It really is not a pure skimboard, but more of a hybrid. Here are some comments I made on it recently.

Tell me a little more about how you want to ride, conditions, etc. and I can make a recommendation on wether to start with a skim or a surfboard.

Hi Lonny, thanks for your welcome..
I kite in small waves and choppy, but sometimes the small waves turn to medium size!! :D :D
I have a Slingshot Rev 11mts. and a Best waroo 7 mts.
I think that your link was about the North Rocketfish, but I´m speaking about the North Freestylefish http://www.kite-boarding.com/north-freestylefish-p-48.html
Also I read you comment about the North skim, but I don´t know where can I find another one...Today I just find a sim forum, I´m going to ask there.

I rode the freestyle fish not too long ago..

very loose feel...fun in small stuff... and very wide, so easy to jibe... but that's all I can say b/c I didn't ride it that much..

I also like the hi-five by Royal...

THIS SHOULD GO IN THE SURFBOARD SECTION!!!

but hmmm.
this is the thing.
Alot of these boards currently being made are not as functional as i would hope. While the freestyle fish will help get bigger guys up and planning instead of a standard narrow tailed board, it IS NOT DESIGNED FOR high performance strapless riding.
Sadly, NO COMPANY right now is making a great alternative for a moderate condition strapless board.
The freestyle fish, is WAY WAY WAY Too heavy, has a horrible fin system, and its overall shape is
just a BAD knockoff of the placebo surfskate and solomon noseless.

I WOULD KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE MARKET FOR SOMETHING NEW TO COME....
