Kiteboarding on Discovery HD

The Discovery Channel is airing a series of six, one hour shows on kiteboarding; the first was broadcast last week.

"Catchin' Air" airs on Thursdays on Discovery Channel's HD Theater:

They utilized GoPro HD cameras & Kiteline Camera Mounts for different perspectives for some of the filming.

I watched it last week and it was about two local Florida Kiteboarders riding stormy waters on an outer reef in the Atlantic off the Florida Keys, and then a massive 30 mile downwinder on the gulf-side of the Keys.

This week will be about kiting in Hood River, Oregon in the Pacific Northwest (PNW).
Get together with a group of kiteboarding buddies at a local bar that has HD Cable TV or set the DVR.

FYI for this week -- the next episode of "Catchin' Air" is on the HD Theater channel tonight! It's an episode on Kiteboarding in Windy Bay of Alaska (in the Gulf of Alaska).

The description from Discovery's HD Theater:
On the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula lies an area exposed to the raging force of the Gulf of Alaska. Go kiteboarding using the unique geography that creates extreme wind to ride an area that most think is impossible.
