Nice site, it's motivated me to dig my cabal out of the back of my garage and give it another go.

How about a section for getting started including videos? It could cover the basics from water start, transitions, toe side, and basic tricks.

Hey SoCal,

Welcome to the site!

The rewards of skimming for me are as good or better than with strapped boards. I think if you put some time into riding your Cabal you will find that it can be quite challenging, and offer experiences that you can transition to your strapped riding. I think the reason most of us kite is for the challenge and adrenaline of the sport, and riding strapless is another great way to add to your skill.

We have been working on doing a video for a few months now. I just finished editing one which is about 4 1/2 minutes and will be posted in the next few days. It shows a lot of basic and more advanced tricks on the skimmer. Hopefully, it will inspire you to go out and hit it with some new ideas in mind! We will be adding videos of break downs of basic and advanced tricks on skimmers and surfboards. Once the community of riders builds I am sure there will be a lot more to come. I will shoot you an email as soon as the video is posted.

Hey,

Great site, i love it.

Maybe a Members gallery could be good where members could upload pictures of them riding strapless, or pictures of their master pieces
Thanks,
Sam King

Hey General,

Thanks for the feedback. Agreed, I would like to have a gallery and a video section for uploading. Right now you can post your pics in posts, and link youtube stuff. In the future I will have a gallery section and also the ability to upload vids directly. I could just create a new section devoted to pepople's pictures and comments on them. What do you think?

I think the best way to get people to lose the straps is to have Jon do more demos, watching him on the Cape last weekend inspired me to put my TT in moth balls for the rest of the summer. We need brakedowns ,he moves way to fast for me to put the thing together.ThANKS for the demo boys! Todd

Hey Todd,

Welcome to Lose the Straps! Thank you for your feedback. No doubt about it, Jon is an amazing and inspirational rider. We fully intend to do breakdowns of some of his signature moves, and post vids of him riding as soon as we can. Did you get a chance to check out his podcast?
