SlingShot Reform
http://ride.slingshotsports.com/2012-Re ... gory=35878

Been riding a borrowed SS skim board, 55" X 20"
Super fun in lighter winds, doing some spins, ollies.
I'm 185 pounds.
Need to have one for myself.
What's the thought on the new Slingshot Reform?
Its easy to buy: comes with some fins for staying upwind and a deckpad, built for a kite so should be durable like all SS boards.

Will it ride backwards ok with the squash tail?

The Reform seems to be more of a mutant/hybrid type board vs. a true skim. A mixture of a fish and skim. It has the wide point further forward like a fish, which I have never been crazy about on a skim design. That being said, I bet it will work very nicely in sloppy surf, and chop, especially with the addition of the fins. If you are looking for something to ride in surf vs. flat water I think this might be a nice option. However, for flat water skimming I think there are better options. I tend to really like the SlingShot boards in general. If you could get a demo from the rep or team rider in your area I would do that first, and get a feel if you like it.

Hope that helps....
