Skim for shorebreak

This is the place to talk about riding styles, tricks, conditions, what works, what doesn't on your skimboard. Wondering about what skimboard to get for kiting? Post it all here.

Hey guys, i am ridding alot of really big shore break on my skim that i made in ecuador. When the waves are not around the shore break is and its fun. I want to get a board to bring down with me, anyone have any sugestions....me making my own is now getting old, so some ideas would be great on a good performance board for the shorebreak.....i love not haveing to worrie about fins

Check my Roush Creations in the skim review. Awesome in shorebreak and has options for fins when the surf gets big.

Hey Brother!

Welcome to Lose the Straps. Great to have you here! I hope all is well down in the Keys.

I think Pebbles' recommendation is a good one. Also here is a link to the reviews he mentioned:

Many of the standard skims from traditional, non-kiteboarding companies like ZAP and Victoria work very well also. Just make sure to get one of the larger sizes, and not too stiff for surf.

Let us know what you are thinking about and we can give you some more feedback.

keep the homade one,the crappier the better, its all about making it harder and much more risky, like attaching your leash to your nipple or penis ring.
oops ... wrong forum, gotta stop checking lts during my porn browsing, but i think that some of the content on this site does qualify..

what i meant to say was , well... actually the above statement werks in this forum too.. how bout that.

dont kid yourself paul, youll be on your skim full on, not just the shorebreak..
i shoulda pulled the trigger on being down there in ecuador, hows the scene down there ?

and are you getting any kitefishing in?

i never thought about it.... but i kitefish strapless. and hopefully hooked in.
