need Help!

Postby m0b0 » Mon May 24, 2010 6:34 pm

I have a little problem! I often lose my board if I do kickflips or shuvits. I can not catch it with my feets... because the board falls down in front of me (2-3 feet).
I dont know what i do false!
Can you help me?

There are a couple of reasons for this so I will go through a few. Some more info about your riding conditions would help.

1. There is not enough wind. When doing airs without a grab, shuvit, the wind helps keep the board on your feet. When you jump you angle the board so that the wind pushes against the bottom of the board and keeps it attacehd to your feet.
2. There is to much wind. When doing kickflips to much wind can rip the board away from you once you remove your feet from the board such as when trying to do a kick flip.

I tend to pick my tricks for the wind and wave conditions.

1. Light winds - kickflips, board grabs, wave slashing
2. Medium winds - all tricks
3. High winds - shuvits, wave slashing, large jumps off of waves with and with out grabs
