Some Skim Time!

Postby cynbad » Fri Nov 25, 2011 8:43 pm

Since getting hooked up with FireWire, I've ignored my skim for almost a year. I decided to take it for a spin the last big wind day with the new Go Pro. The primal panic of having NO FINS lasted a few tacks, and then the familiar skim giddiness returned! SO MUCH fun!!! Nothing compares to the strapless, finless skim glide ride. Here are a few shots.

Great shots Cynbad! ~ especially the sequence!
I haven't been on my skimmer in a few months now too...

Don't mean to stray off topic, but could you share which FW Surfboard you've been on lately?
I'm looking to upgrade from my Placebo 4-10 Surfskate to a 5-6 Hellfire. (68,69kgs)
Hoping its a good pick!

HI Kaito,
I have the 5'6" Hellfire and it is an amazing board! The kite version is a tad on the heavy side for me. The heavier kite model will be fine for me in some real waves, but I have a custom beefed up surf version showing up in about 10 days for my chop, freestyle stuff. My husband, who is around 190lbs is in love with it, and chooses it over all of our other boards. it planes up super quick, and is the fastest, and tightest rail to rail turning surfboard I have ever ridden. I let a couple of people try it, and they all ordered one.
Hope this helps, Cynbad
